With a tree to decorate, presents to buy and parties to attend, sometimes it can see like there are a million things to do in preparation for Christmas.
However, without doubt one of the most pressing concerns as December 25th approaches is Christmas dinner, as we all frantically try to work out how we’re ever going to create the perfect meal for the family.
So if you’re already worrying how on earth you’re gong to cook a giant turkey and get all the trimmings ready at the same time, it may be worth taking a trip down to the capital to stay in central London hotels and check out the Taste of Christmas event.
Running from December 7th – 9th at London ExCel, A Taste of Christmas is an annual showcase of festive food and drink, designed to help you bring a bit of glamour to your festive entertaining.
Across the three days, a selection of London’s top restaurants will be serving up their festive menus, boasting a range of seasonal dishes designed to inspire you in your own cooking and food preparation.
Already confirmed for the event are Salt Yard, Comptoir Gascon and Cinnamon Kitchen, with more big names expected to be announced soon.
There will also be the chance to gleam top tips and advice from some of the country’s best chefs – including Bruno Loubet, Jamie Oliver and Michel Roux – who will help visitors perfect their festive menus and finesse the art of light entertaining.
Visitors can also get a head start on their gourmet shopping, with stalls from more than 200 artisan producers, displaying gifts, essential ingredients, cheese, chocolates and wines.
And if you find yourself a bit peckish after all that shopping, be sure to buy yourself a High Tea ticket, which will give you access to morning and afternoon tea sessions, which feature an indulgent menu of tasty treats served by Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts.
