Cirque du Soleil kicks off new European show

London will host the start of a new Cirque du Soleil on a European tour.

KOOZA will be performed at London’s Royal Albert Hall at the start of Janaury and is perfect for fans staying in central London hotels next month.

The unique show aims to combine the fun of clowning with the talents of aerial acrobatics and is a must for those who have loved past Cirque du Soleil productions.

Tickets are already available for the shows which run from January 5th to January 27th and people are advised to book early to avoid disappointment as the show is expected to be popular.

Written and directed by David Shiner, it features a main character called Innocent who is trying to find out more about himself. During his journey he comes across a wide collection of intriguing figures.

“KOOZA is about human connection and the world of duality, good and bad,” Shiner said.

“The tone is fun and funny, light and open. The show doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it’s very much about ideas, too. As it evolves we are exploring concepts such as fear, identity, recognition and power.”

KOOZA has already been performed across Japan and North American in front of four million people and the European leg of the tour is expected to be just as well received.

All of the London shows will take place at the Royal Albert Hall, which is close to Hyde Park and is a short distance from South Kensington London Underground station so ideal for those staying in central London accommodation.
