London has one of the most iconic skylines in the world, and there’s no better way to experience the city’s full splendour than by taking a spin on the famous London Eye.
Built to celebrate the start of the current millennium, the legendary wheel on the banks of the Thames allows visitors to catch a glimpse of all of the capital’s most sought-after landmarks from on high, and has become one of the most popular attractions in the entire country.
However, things are about to get even better at the London Eye because for a few weeks this summer, visitors will be able to experience the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of the capital before boarding the wheel itself, thanks to a brand new film that is to be included in the entry price.
Simply entitled 4D Experience, the short production takes viewers on a three-dimensional journey over the rooftops of the capital, providing a glimpse of famous buildings such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, the Shard, the Palace of Westminster and much more.
Added to the spectacular visuals, audiences will be presented with a range of special effects to make them really feel as though they are in the movie, with the various smells and aromas of the city being wafted through the cinema, while gusts of air will help to create the sensation of flying.
The smell of London’s legendary New Year’s Eve fireworks is just one of the scents that viewers will be able to experience as they watch the film, so if you’ve never been to the capital on December 31st then you could be about to discover what you’ve been missing.
The film will be shown to all visitors to the London Eye immediately before they board, and will be running from August 11th to September 1st.
Located on the South Bank of the Thames, the London Eye is easily accessible from the Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch, either by tube or on foot.
