Two of London’s commuter hotspots are to be turned into adult-sized playgrounds as part of an advertising campaign.
Visitors staying in central London hotels will see two giant swings erected at Canary Wharf in the New Year and a see-saw will be built in Finsbury Avenue Square.
Bottled water company Evian are behind the new structures that will be open from January 7th to January 11th and the playgrounds are part of a new initiative being launched next month
The ’31 ways to live young’ campaign is hoping to encourage more people to discover their inner child and reduce work-related stress.
Each of the playgrounds is fitted with a snow generating machine that will release snowy showers, when enough people are using the equipment – the more people than the heavy the winter downpour.
Laura Pope, Evian brand manager, explained: “Anyone at any age can Live young – it is a state of mind and an attitude to life. Evian’s giant playground installations are the perfect way to help stressed workers get in touch with their Live young spirit by letting go and having fun.
“For those who won’t be able to make it to the playground, our Facebook Live young hub will share a different way to Live young each day throughout January, as well as a fantastic competition to win a Live young Northern Lights igloo experience in Lapland.”
Both of the playgrounds have been designed by Eloise Smith from Havas Worldwide and they will be promoted via posters, projections and television screens at 20 different London Underground stations across the capital.
