Style-conscious visitors to central London hotels may be interested in booking an appointment at the newly opened Josh Wood hairdressers.
The country's top hair colourist has opened the Josh Wood Atelier, a small "anti-salon" inside a residential mews in Holland Park.
Mr Wood works with a small team of stylists who cut, colour and style hair, including hairdressing superstar Eugene Souleiman who is available on demand.
With his work splashed across the pages of Vouge in Britain, Italy and Japan, Mr Wood's time and skill is highly sought after.
He has worked on an array of celebrity hair dos, including Kylie Minouge, Laura Bailey, Elle Macpherson and January Jones.
Breakfast, lunch and tea are served to hungry patrons waiting for their turn under the scissors, while a relaxing MediPedi is provided by This Works.
Furthermore, the venue's ambiance is maintained with customised playlists from various well-known DJs on a rotating basis – the first provided by Felix.
While appointments can be made through the phone or via e-mail, regular clients are gifted with their own key to the house.
Described by the Evening Standard as the "king of colour", Mr Wood co-founded the realhair salon in Chelsea.
Society writer Christa D'Souza commented: "It's taken a while but [Mr] Wood has assembled a ninja team of experts from all round the world to cut colour and blow dry."
She added: "If you are like me you’ll want to move a bed in here."
Located in Holland Park, the salon is easily accessible to guests at The Montcalm, via the Marble Arch Underground station and the Central Line.
