Killers at Wembley Stadium

The Wembley Stadium will feature a special show on 22 June 2013 with the global rock superstars performing their biggest ever standalone concert in which Brandon Flowers and his band will perform hits from their best selling albums Hot Fuss, Sam’s Town, Day & Age and Battle Born. The Killers have also confirmed that Manchester legends James will also be joining them for the show. At the moment, James is in the midst of their own sold out UK tour, “The Gathering Sound” to mark their fantastic 30-year career. The front man of James, Tim Booth said that they felt honoured to be opening for a band that they love personally and which has been acclaimed as the best live band in the world for so long. The band will also join The Gaslight Anthem, who are the previously announced special guests for the show.

When The Killers perform at the legendry Wembley Stadium on 22 June 2013, they will join a very select handful of artists who have performed at this world-famous venue such as The Rolling Stones, U2, Michael Jackson, David Bowie and recently Muse and Coldplay who performed the biggest show of their career almost ten years after they made their UK live debut at London’s Dublin Castle in 2003.

The Las Vegas band, The Killers had released their stunning new album Battle Born last month to much acclaim. It was their fourth consecutive number one album. They had concluded their sold-out UK arena tour with two nights at London’s 02 Arena on 16/17 November 2012. After that, their show at the Wembley will be the next chance for their UK fans to see them in action.

The Brandon Flowers was formed in Las Vegas in 2001 and their fronted quartet have released four studio albums, Hot Fuss, Sam’s Town and Day & Age, plus a compilation album, Sawdust, in 2007. Over 15 million albums have been sold worldwide by the band spawning the hits Mr Brightside, Bones, Human and the anthem When You Were Young.
