Visitors to the Luxury hotels in London can enjoy some of the world’s best cuisine and drinks in two up-scale venues.
Food lovers can enjoy Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Restaurant, designed by award winning architects Lifschutz Davidson.
The oval room, situated in London’s leading fashion and lifestyle emporium, provides the “perfect ambience” to enjoy a light lunch or rich dinner from head chef Jonas Karlsson.
Mr Karlsson joined Harvey Nichols in 2004, became the head chef in 2007 and has recently been drawing on his Baltic heritage to develop a range of “light bites”, according to Squaremeal.co.uk.
Furthermore, his daily changing market menu comprises of fresh ingredients selected from the adjoining Harvey Nichols Foodmarket.
The restaurant boasts an award-winning wine list of more than 750 selected bottles from all over the world.
It is open for lunch from 12:00 GMT to 15:30 GMT, afternoon tea from 14:30 GMT to 17:30 GMT and dinner from 18:00 GMT to 23:00 GMT.
For an after dinner drink, look no further than Shoreditch’s latest bar, the Whistling Shop on Worship Street.
Combining a Victorian-era decor with never before seen cocktails, traditional draft beers and an array of sparkling wines, the Whistling Shop is a unique experience.
The venue boasts two separate “experience rooms” and a Victorian-themed menu.
Opened earlier this year, the Whistling Shop is decorated with dark wood, chesterfield sofas and lit by gas lamps – even the bartenders and cocktail shakers wear period outfits.
“Our Whistling Shop takes elements of Victorian & Dickensian drinking culture, fusing them with very forward thinking bartending techniques,” explains the group.
Time Out magazine praised the venue for its aesthetics and cocktail list overseen by acclaimed drink-maker Ryan Chetiyawardana.
“The line between authentic and a little bit silly blurs somewhat, but the drinks and staff here are terrific,” commented the magazine’s reviewer.
