London to hold first ever Tech Week

As the world becomes increasingly high-tech, with new gadgets coming out all the time and the use of so-called smart devices now a common theme in all of our lives, it can be hard to keep up with the latest themes in the technology world.

However, if you want a sneak peak at the world of tomorrow then make sure you get yourself to London this June, as the capital city will be hosting its first ever Tech Week – something which is expected to become a yearly occurrence from now on.

Specifically aimed at professionals within the technology industry, it also promises to be a highly entertaining and informative week for consumers as well, with events taking place across the capital to showcase the latest trends in the field.

Tech Week will be held from June 16th to 20th, with one of the largest and most eagerly-anticipated goings-on being the InternetWorld event at ExCel London, which is located in Earl's Court. This particular event is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, with technological firms from across the globe on hand to showcase their work and meet with consumers and professionals alike.

So, whether you work in the technology field or simply have an interest in gadgets, this promises to be one hell of a week, and one that you can't afford to miss if you want to keep up with all the latest trends.

Commenting on Tech Week, Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: “London’s first ever Technology Week will showcase London’s role as the digital capital of Europe, with a range of innovative businesses now calling the city their home, attracting both significant investment and some of the best and brightest talent on the planet.”
