Luxury brand opens new speakeasy

Following the current 1920s revival happening all across London, luxury lifestyle company Brompton Brands is gradually in the process of opening a new speakeasy just off the shopping mecca that is Oxford Street – making it the perfect place for a night cap for those staying in one of the luxury Montcalm Hotels London.

Nick House and Piers Adam’s newest creation Rose will be a building full of treats when it opens fully: with a flower shop on the ground level, a 300 capacity nightclub in the basement, New York-style restaurant lounge on the first floor and a large roof terrace.

The club, which is the first part of the concept to open, was designed by Robert Angell Design Studio as “a vision of a classical jewellery box featuring chic mirrored finishes with brass angled detail accompanied by the screw detail inspiration from the Cartier “Love” bangle which will set the look apart from others”.

There are beautiful deep reds everywhere, giving the place a wonderfully luxurious feel and View London calls it “a beautiful new jewel in London’s nightlife”.

Following on from other bars and clubs that are reviving the art of live performance, Rose features trained ballerinas performing to live opera singers and string quartets – a chance to kill two cultural birds with one stone.

The cocktails are crafted by resident mixologist Christian Ozzati and some are served in Monopoly piece drinking vessels.

One London banker recently hit the headlines after running up a £71,000 tab, including 24 six-litre bottles of premium vodka.

Rose it seems really is a place to visit as part of a decadent weekend in the capital staying in one of the top hotels in London.
