2014 has been the year that the world finally went LEGO mad, with the recent animated LEGO Movie proving to be an enormous hit not just in the UK but across the globe.
We’ve all grown up playing with the famous building blocks and the many characters that accompany them, and it seems that even in this day and age, when technology is taking over the way that kids entertain themselves, there’s still a place in the current generation’s toy box for LEGO.
If you’d like to really bring your children’s play time to life this summer then you may want to consider taking a trip to the world famous LEGOLAND resort in Windsor, as there will be some extra special visitors gracing the theme park in July.
Indeed, a number of guest appearances from the stars of the LEGO Movie will be taking place throughout the month.
Anyone who has seen the film will surely not want to miss the chance to meet and have their photograph taken with the movie’s main protagonists, Emmet and Wyldstyle, who will be present at LEGOLAND on July 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th.
Of course, there are loads more attractions for visitors to enjoy at the famous theme park, with the legendary Dragon Rollercoaster being hugely popular, while the new LEGO Legends of Chima 4D Movie Experience really helps to bring the world of LEGO to life.
There are a number of ways to get to LEGOLAND Windsor, with rail being one of the easiest options if coming from London. Trains from Paddington to Eton and Windsor Central take around half an hour, while the journey from Waterloo takes just under an hour. Both of these stations are within a short distance of the Montcalm Hotel, which is a great place to rest up after an exciting day at one of the world’s best theme parks.
