Normally the only time footballers' wives hit the headlines is when they head out for a night on the tiles or during a summer tournament when they all support the team together.
However, this could be very different come the 2013 summer as a new musical celebrating the wives and girlfriends of players is set to hit the big time on the West End.
WAG! The Musical is set to be on stage at the Charing Cross Theatre from July 18th for a short five-week period following on from a successful run last summer, which even saw legendary theatre director and producer Lord Lloyd Webber enjoy the show.
It is a tongue-in-cheek look at living the lavish Wag lifestyle that is portrayed so much in the media.
The production looks at the world of footballers and their families by following the lives of women working in a stylish department store.
This was the brainchild of Karen Struel-White who is the daughter of former Swansea City owner Malcolm Struel.
Ms Struel-White lived a life of glamour, fame and fortune and has put her lavish experience to good use for this new show.
She told Wales Online that the prospect of the show heading on to the stage in London is incredibly exciting, stating that she hopes it becomes the "next big West End show".
"When I look back to last January when we first started putting the show together I would never have believed it would get this far.
"It's a fun-filled feel-good musical where you can leave your troubles at the door, have a laugh and listen to some really good music."
Tickets for the show are set to go on sale later this month and people could use this as a great excuse to spend time in one of the many luxury hotels in London for the weekend.
