National Pie Week comes to the London Dungeon

With National Pie Week taking place from March 3rd to 9th, now is a perfect time to head to London, with shops and restaurant like the hugely popular Pie Minister – which has branches in Camden, Leather Lane, Gabriel's Wharf and Shoreditch – offering all sorts of tasty fillings inside their puff pastry, so there's no danger of going hungry in the capital.

However, for something extra special, a trip to the world-famous London Dungeon may well be in order, as this frightfully entertaining attraction is planning to go all out in honour of the occasion.

Indeed, the Dungeon's resident pie maker, Mrs Margery Lovett, has been busy working with some of the UK's biggest celebrities to put together a special menu which she has labelled Stars in my Pies. Mrs Lovett does insist, however, that no celebs were harmed in the making of the pies, and none of their body parts have been used to make the fillings.

Among the delights that visitors will be able to enjoy during National Pie Week are the likes of the Ant and Dec Bush Tucker Pasty, which has been described as "a wholesome family favourite with surprisingly crunchy bite". Could there be a creepy-crawly or two in there?

Alternatively, you may prefer the Miley Cyrus Tongue Pie, created in honour of the twerking celeb and her affinity for licking sledgehammers.

Then there's the TOWIE Tanned Lattice Pie, which boasts a bright orange hue that mirrors the fake tan used by the characters in the popular reality TV show.

Other pies have been created in honour of the likes of Lee Ryan and Posh Spice, so whatever your taste, you're sure to find something that tickles your fancy at the London Dungeon.

The venue itself is located on the South Bank, just a stone's throw from Westminster Bridge and the London Eye.
