New Angry Birds land now open at Thorpe Park

Since its launch several years ago, Angry Birds has taken the world by storm, becoming the most popular smartphone app among users of all ages, and helping to brighten up many a commute to work or school run.

Now, Anyone who want to get a little closer to the action can experience the thrill of the Angry Birds universe first hand by taking a trip to Thorpe Park, where a brand new Angry Birds zone has just opened up.

As one of the UK’s top theme parks, Thorpe Park is always worth a visit during the summer, and is home to a host of fantastic rides and attractions, although the latest addition is sure to be a real winner with all guests.

Among the highlights of the new area is the ANGRY BIRDS 4D Experience, which enables visitors to step into the world of the birds themselves courtesy of a high-tech 3D cinema screen, while added effects such as rumbling chairs, air gusts, water jets and more help to really bring the on-screen antics to life.

So, if you want to move on to the next level from simply playing Angry Birds on your phone, why not take a trip to Thorpe Park and join in the quest to help the birds retrieve their eggs from the evil King Pig?

Other top new attractions include Angry Bird-themed dodgems, as well as the addition of the Angry Bird characters to Thorpe Park’s ever popular 100-foot drop tower, Detonator, which now features the birds themselves perched at the top of the tower as though it were their nest.

Of course, if you aren’t interested in Angry Birds, you’ll still find loads of great rides and attractions at Thorpe Park, with the likes of Stealth, Colossus and Nemesis Inferno being among the UK’s most thrilling roller coasters.

Thorpe Park can be reached in about 40 minutes by train from London Waterloo, which is just a short tube ride from the Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch.
