Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins will be performing a festive show at London's Royal Albert Hall next month.
Fans enjoying breaks in central London hotels will want to ensure they have tickets for the unique night on December 10th. The singer, who has already won two Brit Awards and worked with opera stars such as Andrea Bocelli and Placido Domingo, will be performing a number of hits as well as classic Christmas carols.
Jenkins recently released an album of festive songs such as Away in a Manger, Santa Baby and O Holy Night, and some of the holiday tunes are likely to be included in the Royal Albert Hall Performance.
Music-News.com reports that the Christmas album was recorded over the summer, but Jenkins requested that the studio be covered in festive decorations to help her get in the right frame of mind.
James Christopher Monger at AllMusic.com added: "Katherine Jenkins' first official holiday album sounds exactly like what one would expect from the reigning queen of the classical cross over charts."
He explained it is "lush, languid and lovingly orchestrated" and that it will become a Christmas hit.
Tickets for the concert which starts at 7pm on December 10th cost from £20 each for general admission seats, although there is a special VIP package available for £189. The more expensive option allows attendance at a pre-concert reception, premium seats and complementary use of the cloakroom.
More than 350 shows per year are held at the Royal Albert Hall and it has been one of the capital's key music venues since it was opened by Queen Victoria in 1871. It is a short walk from South Kensington London Underground station.
