Tennis fans are in for a treat next month as legends from the game pick up their rackets and take to the courts once again for the Statoil Masters Tennis event.
Between December 5th and 9th, the likes of John McEnroe, Pat Cash and Ivan Lendl will descend on the Royal Albert Hall to compete for the prestigious Legends title.
By a twist of fate, three-time Wimbledon title winner McEnroe and former World number one Lendl, who enjoyed a fierce rivalry during their professional playing days, have been drawn to play against together on 7th December.
The duo played against each other 36 times during their time on the tour and Lendl, who now coaches Andy Murray, leads their overall head-to-head record 21-15.
In Group A of the Legends event, McEnroe and Lendl will meet Jeremy Bates, while Group B includes the 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, seven-time Grand Slam champion Mats Wilander and Henri Leconte.
Younger players who have only recently retired take part in the ATP Champions Tour event, with Tim Henman and Goran Ivanisevic set for a rematch of their historic 2001 Wimbledon semi-final in Group A before both men take on Sweden's Thomas Enqvist.
In Group B, former World Number Carlos Moya, who is making his debut at the event, will play against the 2003 Wimbledon runner-up Mark Philippoussis and Fabrice Santoro.
There is also a doubles competition featuring entertainers Mansour Bahrami and Peter McNamar, as well as Andrew Castle and Wayne Ferreira.
On 6th December, British star Heather Watson is set to be the headline act for the traditional Ladies' Night as she takes to the court with partner Tim Henman for a mixed doubles match with Anne Keothavong and Mark Philippoussis.
As well as enjoying all the tennis action, those staying in central London hotels will be able to go to the Winter Whites Gala, which will be attended by stars of the tournament and other tennis heroes, at the Royal Albert Hall on 8th December.
Tickets to the Statoil Masters Tennis are now available from £17.50 per person.
