With less than two weeks to go until this year's Ideal Home Show, preparations for the hotly anticipated event are in full swing.
Held at one of the biggest event venues in London, Earl's Court, the show will see hundreds of exhibitors display and demonstrate the latest in interiors, home improvements, gardens, gadgets, food and much else besides.
And now it has been announced that one of the highlights of the event – the Home of the Future section – will be significantly expanded for this year's show, exhibitionnews.co.uk reports.
Media 10, the events organisation that runs the Ideal Home Show has revealed that the Home of the Future stage will triple in size and feature a 300-seat auditorium.
It will showcase the latest in consumer household technology, including new product launches, gadgets, toys and future innovations.
"Domestic technology is increasingly becoming a focal point for all modern homes," Media 10 feature manager Anthony Goodey told the website.
"Our visitors are always craving new ideas and the latest in consumer technology, so we decided to give our usual feature a lift by incorporating more entertainment and performance within this section.
"The new design offers a much more entertaining and interactive feel for our visitors, while offering a more engaging way for our brands to demonstrate their products."
The Ideal Home Show has been a highlight of the London events calendar for 104 years, having first been held in 1908, and this year will see more than 600 exhibitors take part, running from March 16th to April 1st.
Other highlights include the 'How to' Theatre , which will host a range of workshops and demonstrations from celebrity and industry experts on a wide variety of home improvement topics, and cooking demonstrations from top chefs including Phil Vickery and the Fabulous Baker Brothers at the Celebrity Chef Theatre.
