London is a lot of things to a lot of people, although one characteristic that all visitors will notice is that it’s one of the best cities in the world for nightlife, with a huge varieties of bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, theatres and much more – so whatever you happen to be looking for in a night out, you’re sure to find it here.
Among the trendiest spots in the capital for an evening out is Shoreditch, where a fantastic range of bars can be found. For example, stroll along Shoreditch High Street and you’ll come across establishments like Bar Kick – which is a great place to have a drink or two while making some new friends over a game of table football – Barrio East, The Cornershop and several others.
From here, it’s just a short walk to Hoxton Square, which is home to the ever-popular Hoxton Bar and Kitchen. This is a great venue to head to for a bite to eat early in the evening, and then becomes a nightclub later on, so you can spend your whole night here if you like.
Also in close proximity is the famous XOYO nightclub, which has a reputation for hosting some of the top DJs and other live acts in the world, with an eclectic range of music being played here. The nearest tube station is Old Street, which is just a short journey from the Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch on the London Underground.
For a different vibe, meanwhile, head to areas like Putney, Chelsea and Clapham in South-west London. Many of the bars around here cater for a slightly more up-market clientele, and if you’ve ever seen Made In Chelsea then you’ll have some idea of what to expect. Of course, if you’re looking for something cheap and cheerful, you can always try out Clapham’s notoriously cheesy Inferno’s nightclub.
