Special Children’s Day event coming to London Zoo

The Special Children's Day is set to return to the ZSL London Zoo, helping to make the various members of the animal kingdom accessible to all.

Taking place over the weekend of September 10th and 11th, the Special Children's Day is ideal for guests staying in central London hotels.

While welcoming all, the event provides extra support for families of children with disabilities, and includes British sign language interpreters at animal talks and demonstrations, as well as a Touch Tour for visually-impaired children.

Families will be able to get up close with 750 species of animals at the ZSL London Zoo and will be entertained by a live band, alongside having access to a special Discovery Zone.

The Discovery Zone features live animals, hands-on activities, face painting and crafts.

Children can also take part in special storytelling sessions, enjoy the bouncy castle and relax in the chill-out area.

Extra staff are on hand throughout the weekend to ensure a safe and smooth event for all, while the zoo provides changing tents, disabled toilets and a chance to meet charities offering information and support.

The weekend also boasts a special reduced price list, with under-18s getting in for only £8.50, with one parent or carer getting free admission.

Additional adult tickets costs £12.50, while those under-three get in for free.

Located in the heart of Regent's Park – a short walk away from Marylebone, Baker Street and Great Portland Street Tube station – the event is ideally situated for guests at The Montcalm hotel.
