Stay on trend at London Fashion Week

For many years, London has enjoyed a reputation as one of the global powerhouses of fashion, with a huge number of respected designers and prestigious boutique shops helping to keep the capital's residents well dressed and on trend.

If you're the sort of person that likes to stay one step ahead of the game and is always in the know about what's hot and what's not for the season, then you will certainly want to be in town this September, as the world-famous London Fashion Week will be taking place once more.

Considered one of the so-called big four events of the fashion world, this superb celebration of all things sartorial provides a showcase for the very best designers London has to offer, while also featuring some big names from around the world.

The event is set to take place from September 12th to 16th, with the main shows being held in the courtyard at Somerset House, which will be transformed into a giant catwalk.

Among the designers putting on shows at this year's London Fashion Week are the likes of Felder Felder, Jean-Pierre Braganza, JW Anderson and many others, while a range of top brands including H by Hakaan Yildirim, Topshop Unique, Mother of Pearl and Burberry Prorsum will also be presented.

Anyone with an interest in staying in vogue for the coming autumn/winter season and beyond would certainly benefit from attending one or more of these shows, and there will also be the option to browse through a collection of the most up-to-date outfits in the showrooms inside Somerset House.

London is, of course, one of the shopping capitals of the world, so once you've had a look at the models on the catwalk you might want to make your way to the nearby Oxford Street and start splashing the cash.

Somerset House is located on the Strand, and is close to key landmarks such as Covent Garden, Waterloo Bridge and the Montcalm London Marble Arch.
