With excitement growing ahead of next summer’s World Cup in Brazil, football fans up and down the country are now getting behind Roy’s boys like never before as they begin their preparations for the tournament.
If you’d like to get a taste of the action then you may be interested to hear that tickets are still available for both of England’s upcoming friendly matches at Wembley.
The first of these takes place tomorrow night (November 15th), with Chile providing the opposition at Wembley. Fans will be able to see players like Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez and Juventus’s Arturo Vidal lining up against England’s finest, in what is sure to be a fantastic match-up.
Both teams have already qualified for the World Cup and are now looking to finalise their tactics and line-ups ahead of the main event, so you can be sure of seeing a full-blooded encounter, with everyone playing for their place on the flight to Brazil.
Kick-off is at 8.00 pm, and Wembley Stadium can be accessed from Wembley Park tune station on the Metropolitan Line.
As if that wasn’t enough, England will then play Germany at home on Tuesday (November 19th), with tickets for this also currently on general sale.
England Vs Germany is always an exciting encounter, with this being one of football’s great rivalries. Past encounters – such as the 1996 World Cup Final at Wembley, the 1990 World Cup semi-final and the Euro ’96 semi-final – having gone down in history.
The current Germany squad is being tipped for great things by many, with players like Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Bayern Munich’s Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller and Sebastian Schweinsteiger being among the best in the world.
The two teams last met at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, with Germany winning 4-1, so the upcoming match at Wembley will provide England with the chance to exact some revenge for that defeat.
