Visitors to the capital over the holiday season have been advised on the top Christmas cocktail bars across the city by official tourism group Visit London.
Highlighting a number of bars and venues easily accessible to those staying in central London hotels, the group says there’s no better place than the capital when it comes to celebrating the festive season.
“Take a look at the delicious festive cocktails on offer, and plan a Christmas night out in London with our pick of the best festive bars,” it explained.
Partiers were encouraged to stop off at famous bars The Folly, The Parlour, The Refinery, The Anthologist and The Drift for “winter warmers”.
Each bar is serving a warm Christmas cocktail to fight off the chilly winter nights, including the Skinny Bovril Bull, Drake’s Buttered Rum and Skinny Hot Ribena.
“If you fancy something sweeter, try the Sleigh Bell cocktail – a tasty mix of Amaretto, Drambuie, creme de peche, fresh lemon and raspberry puree,” added the group.
Furthermore, a variety of festive bars were highlighted, including the Spiegel Saloon in Hyde Park’s temporary Winter Wonderland.
Replete with comfy chesterfield sofas, traditional bar stoops and venue wide heating, visitors can enjoy free entertainment while they sip hot spiced cider, mulled wine and hot chocolate.
London’s Icebar is a perennial tourist favourite as people don hooded cloaks and gloves and take in the 100 per cent ice bar, chairs, cups and decorations.
“After the ice experience, head to the Reindeer Lounge and warm up with a delicious range of cocktails,” commented Visit London.
World-famous attraction The London Eye is also offering warm drinks with its Mulled Wine Experience, where visitors can enjoy a mulled wine while taking in the sights.
