Shoppers staying in luxury London hotels this weekend can take part in the annual shopping extravaganza taking place on Regent Street and Oxford Street over December 10th and 11th.
The two leading retail destinations hand themselves over to shoppers as part of the American Express Shop West End VIP Weekend.
Described as a "shopper's paradise", the two streets will be completely traffic-free over the two day period, which makes it ideal for those staying in central London hotels.
"Oxford Street and Regent Street in Central London come alive with entertainment for Shop West End VIP Weekend," explained tourism group Visit London.
"Look out for special festive events and celebrations, discounts and deals throughout the weekend, providing a festive West End welcome to all."
As part of the festivities, people can enjoy the West End Christmas Carol-A-Thon, which invites members of the public to take part.
The choir kick-starts an "epic" 30-hour Christmas carol marathon, which is set to go on into the early hours of the morning.
Furthermore, American Express has pledged to donate £1 to Kids Company every time one of their cards is used over the event.
"The VIP Weekend is now a well established, much heralded date in the seasonal shopping calendar and a great way to celebrate the best the West End has to offer in the run up to Christmas," commented mayor of London, Boris Johnson.
"I have no doubt that the Christmas Carol-A-Thon will be a fantastic success and raise buckets of cash to help give a proper festive celebration to the children who need it most."
The shopping events take place from 11am to 6pm on the Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on the Sunday.
There will also be live music and performances all over the streets to raise money for children's charities.
