Artists open pop-up winter restaurant
Visitors to the capital looking for meeting venues in central London might want to consider the The Stew House, which will open for a limited time from December 8th to 17th.
Organised by the Dead Dolls Club, which runs a gallery in Hackney that acts as a tea shop and restaurant, the pop-up eatery will feature a stew based menu at £20 per person.
Following the huge success of our gallery/bar … we have decided to go for a big one this Christmas," explained the group.
"We will be opening a meantime restaurant in Hackney for ten days over the festive season serving up classic winter food, great art and top entertainment."
Ideally located for those staying in central London hotels, people can indulge in a menu of popular dishes, with eight of the world's top stews on offer to keep guests warm this winter.
Artists Jennie Webber and Dan Hillier have been commissioned to create "a banqueting room to remember", which is based around a huge Tudor-style dining table.
"The space will cross 2D and 3D effortlessly and bring a blank canvas to life like you've never seen before," added the group.
Starters vary depending on the local market's available produce, while the stews on supply include Welsh Cawl, Venison Port & Chocolate, Hunters Chicken, Wild Boar, Beef & Ale, Irish Stew, Root Vegetable and Mixed Bean.
Those with a sweet tooth may be glad to hear that the dessert is a bread and butter pudding with cream.
Anyone thinking of coming to London while The Stew House is open could twin this fantastic dining experience with a stay in a luxury London hotel for the ultimate weekend away.
