Baby Show perfect for parents-to-be
The ExCeL Centre in London is hosting the annual Baby Show event in February. Aimed at new mums and dads as well as expectant parents, the show is one of the UK's biggest and provides a great chance to check out the latest products and services available.
Running from February 22nd to 24th, the Baby Show will welcome hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the best in prams, nappies, clothing and toys. Many of the big brands will be represented at the event, including Mothercare and Fisher Price. There will also be the chance to discover some small retailers who specialise in providing independent products.
In addition, there will be plenty on of experts on hand to answer questions from nervous mums and dads on a variety of topics ranging from breastfeeding and sleeping to first aid and financial planning.
For new mums the show also includes a number of facilities such as a free creche, a changing room, a dedicated feeding area and the opportunity to collect purchases by car.
Fertility doctor, child development expert and television presenter Professor Robert Winston will be making an appearance at the show and giving a number of talks on baby development.
The Jubilee Line is the recommended route to the ExCeL Centre, visitors can alight at Canning Town and change onto a Beckton-bound Dockland Light Railway train to Custom House for ExCeL (West) or Prince Regent for ExCeL (East).
Entry to the show costs £20 on the door, while discounted tickets are available in advance via the official Baby Show website. There are also special ticket packages for sale that include attendance at antenatal classes.
