Boxpark pop-up mall comes to Shoreditch
Shopaholics staying at luxury London hotels can catch "the world's first pop-up mall", which is set to invade an industrial space in trendy Shoreditch.
Ideal for those staying in central London hotels, the pop-up mall will open this Saturday (December 3rd) and span two storeys.
Made of interconnected shipping containers, the retail haven will host 60 retailers, including eatery Foxcroft & Ginger as well as big name clothiers 55DSL, Nike and Levis.
Furthermore, the mall will be hosting a special 20 per cent off deal across all the stores on its opening day.
"Come down and celebrate the launch of the world's first pop-up mall - Boxpark Shoreditch, with a special celebrity guest appearance, live DJ sets, in-store events, and giveaways," explained organisers.
The brainchild of Roger Wade, the creator of Boxfresh and fashion brand consultancy Brand Incorporated, Boxpark strips and refits shipping containers to create unique, low cost, low risk, "box shops".
"Boxpark is radical stuff. It's not some run-of-the-mall shopping centre. It's a living, fertile community of brands packed with talent, innovation and attitude that puts creativity and fashion back where they belong: on the street," added the organisers.
"Boxpark isn't just where you shop. It's an inspiring and enjoyable place to drop in and hang out. It's what a real brand experience should be all about."
Aiming to go on the road in the near future, the pop-up mall says it won't be intrusive or invasive, but will fit in and contribute to the local community.
Among the retailers selling their wares, people can snap up deals from Abuze, Calvin Clein, Cyber Candy, DC Shoes, Gola, New Era and many more.
Retailers are selected by "invitation only" to create a unique shopping experience.
