East Asian cuisine comes to London
Travellers coming to the city looking for the best party venues in London may want to grab a bite to eat at the newly opened East Street restaurant.
The menu blends the tastes of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan and Korea.
Promising to offer those staying in central London hotels healthy, high-quality food at value-for-money prices, the venue opened yesterday (December 13th).
"Here you'll find steaming noodles to soothe, slow-cooked curries and sizzling stir-fries full of goodness and flavour," explained the group.
"So settle in and let us take you on a ride through the exciting and varied cuisines of East Asia."
The interior of the venue hopes recreate the sights, smells and sounds of bustling street-markets in Bangkok and Hanoi, the hawker stalls of Singapore and the noodle vendors of Tokyo.
Sauces and stocks are made on site everyday from fresh produce, which contributes to a menu composed of the best street food and signature dishes from across the region.
"We hope you'll love is the fantastic variety of flavours and textures that we found in the various cuisines of the countries that we visited and fell in love with," added the group.
The venue, located on Rathbone Place, boast wooden tables with authentic East Asian stools underneath famous signage from across the region's food brands.
Local events guide Londonist.com praised the venue for its design and service, saying the menu will please all palates, the prices are reasonable and the location is convenient for tours of the city.
"You can have fun cocktails that reflect a holiday in Thailand, and the beer selection includes some especially crisp ones such as Beer Lao," added the reviewer.
The new restaurant is the latest project by the team behind Tampopo, a chain of Asian eateries in Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Reading.
