Enjoy a Taste of London next week

13th June 2013

Foodies looking to spend their midsummer with an alfresco feast should look no further than the Taste of London festival - a four-day event that comes to Regent's Park next week, transforming this delightful public space into a sizzling showcase of the capital's finest cuisine.

Taste of London 2013 is the tenth anniversary edition of the festival and accordingly, organisers are planning the biggest and best event so far. Over 40 of the city's finest restaurants are scheduled to participate, including both internationally-renowned establishments and up-and-coming innovators. Dozens of star chefs will be in attendance, cooking up an incredible range of different dishes that represent gastronomic cultures from around the world - all with a unique London spin.

With so much on offer, visitors will be spoilt for choice regardless of where their tastes lie. Each exhibitor will serve up to four different dishes; whether you fancy a bite of Raymond Blanc's five-star burger, a teriyaki dipped scallop and pork belly lollipop, a Somerset hot dog or a summer truffle risotto, there's something for you here.

Inspired by the weird and wonderful taste sensations on offer? Taste of London will also be attended by some of the world's best food and drink suppliers, from artisanal local producers to the most prestigious brands. Guests can stock up their cupboards at home with fresh organic chutneys, speciality black puddings and intense cheeses - not to mention fill their cellars with the finest wines available.

It's even possible to download recipes from the Taste of London website, so budding chefs can take a shot at recreating some of the festival's dazzling dishes at home.

A range of talks, workshops and live cookery demonstrations will also take place on the Regent's Park site. Leading French brand President will host a programme of lectures, tastings and wine-pairing workshops for a variety of world-famous cheeses, while the BMW Chef's Theatre will feature big names like Vivek Singh and Theo Randall demonstrating their art live.

Regent's Park is easy to reach from most central London hotels and landmarks. The festival runs between June 20th and 23rd.
