Harry Potter star to appear in West End show

10th September 2013

Fans of the Harry Potter books and movies will be thrilled to hear that one of the films' stars is to appear in a new West End Production which begins its run in the capital this November.

Rupert Grint, who played the part of Ron Weasley in the phenomenally successful movie saga, will be lining up alongside an all-star cast in what is one of the most eagerly anticipated plays of the year.

Mojo, which was first performed in the capital in 1995 and 1996 and won an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy following its opening at the Royal Court, is to be revived for the first time, with original director Ian Rickson once again at the helm.

The story is set in Soho in the 1950s, when rock and roll was young and an intricate tapestry of political manoeuvring, power games and sleazy relationships took place behind the scenes as bands battled it out for their time in the limelight.

Portraying the underworld of London's most notoriously shady neighbourhood will be a host of superstars including the likes of Ben Whishaw, who audiences may well be more familiar with as Q from the latest James Bond film Skyfall, or as Freddie Lyon from the hugely popular TV series The Hour.

Also featuring in Mojo is Brendan Coyle, whose previous roles include that of John Bates in Downton Abbey, and Colin Morgan, who played the title role in the BBC television series Merlin.

The show will be opening at the Harold Pinter Theatre on November 13th, with tickets currently available for performances up until January 25th 2014.

Located in the heart of the West End, the Harold Pinter Theatre can be reached in a just a couple of minutes from Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square or Charing Cross tube stations, and is a short walk away from other central London attractions such as Trafalgar Square and Regent Street.
