Jack Johnson set to play in London this summer
No musician can really claim to have made it until they have played in London, with just about every major artist on the planet having performed in the British capital at one time or another, and every world tour including at least a few dates in the city.
It should therefore come as no surprise to learn that 2014 is already shaping up to be another fantastic year in terms of concerts and gigs in London, with a host of international stars set to play in venues across the city over the coming months.
Among those who are preparing to make an appearance in town is Hawaiian singer-songwriter Jack Johnson, whose chilled-out tunes have become popular across the world since he dedicated himself to making music after retiring from professional surfing following a horrific accident.
First gaining global attention with the release of his debut studio album Brushfire Fairytales back in 2001, the artist really shot to fame two years later when he competed his second record, On and On.
In 2005, he then released In Between Dreams, which includes massive hits like Good People, Better Together, Banana Pancakes and Breakdown - songs which catapulted Johnson to global stardom.
Having released a further three studio albums since then, the singer remains one of the most genre-defining and highly-respected artists in the world, with his unique blend of beach vibes and lullaby tones setting him apart from anyone else currently making music.
If you'd like to see him play live then you are in luck, because Jack Johnson will be performing at London's Hammersmith Apollo - which is just a short tube ride away from the Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch - on July 20th.
Known for being one of the UK's most iconic venues, the Apollo has hosted some huge acts in the past, including the likes of Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen and many others, while it's also known as one of the country's top comedy theatres, with the popular show Live at the Apollo being staged there.
