Just two weeks left to visit Udderbelly at the Southbank Centre

28th June 2013

Since mid-April, the fifth annual Udderbelly Festival has been delighting visitors to London's South Bank - offering the very best in comedy, cabaret and music from within a giant, upside-down purple cow.

Unfortunately, just a fortnight remains in the event's 12-week run, with festivities scheduled to wrap up on July 14th. Those wishing to catch a show or two - or just to socialise at one of the capital's most unique temporary venues - are urged, therefore, to head to the Southbank Centre with all haste.

Plenty of attractions remain, including several more performances of last year's critically acclaimed West End comedy show The Boy With The Tape On His Face: More Tape. Described by organisers as a "silent sensation", this award-winning production will run until closing night. Tickets cost £15.50 with a concessionary rate of £14.50 also available.

Those looking for family-friendly entertainment can attend the final show from the Comedy Club 4 Kids, which has staged fortnightly stand-up showcases throughout the festival's run. This takes place on July 13th and features comedians Eric Lampaert and Sam Wills. Tickets cost £10 per person.

Finally, Time Out Live will curate a grandiose closing gala on July 14th - celebrating another successful Udderbelly and saying farewell until next year. The star-studded lineup includes Hal Cruttenden, Mark Dolan and Matt Reed.

Even those who don't intend to catch a show or two this year should consider paying a visit to the festival site, which is home to one of the capital's biggest outdoor bars and several excellent street food sellers - making it a perfect spot to relax and socialise.

Meanwhile, the Southbank Centre has plenty for visitors to enjoy this summer. Attractions include the London Literary Festival and London Wonderground, both of which run until autumn; for a full list of events, interested parties should visit the venue's website.

Furthermore, it enjoys an accessible city centre location, so those staying in luxury London hotels won't have far to travel.
