London International Horse Show comes to London's Olympia
The annual London International Show is being held in the capital until December 23rd.
The popular event beings together some of the world's most skilled horse people horse riders and is a must for equestrian fans staying in central London hotels over the next few days.
Highlights of the show are expected to be the many live performances in the main arena at Olympia. All aspects of horse riding is celebrated and demonstrated ranging from show jumping to dressage.
The Barcelona Police are set to showcase their riding skills as they perform a series of complicated exercises as part of a Carrusel production, while professional Jean Francois Pignon will be riding a choreographed display for the crowds.
There will also be appearances from the Kennel Club Dog Agility and the Shetland Pony Grand National and the event will end with the annual Christmas Finale – which this year has circus as its main theme.
As well as the main arena events, there is also the chance for visitors to indulge in a bit of last-minute Christmas shopping, with more than 200 exhibitors attending the show selling everything and anything related to horses.
All the action takes place at popular London venue Olympia, which is next to the Kensington (Olympia) station on the London Overground and is one stop from Shepherd's Bush on the Central line and West Brompton on the District line.
London's International House Show has been held at Olympia since 1907 and is a major event on the equestrian calendar.
