London's O2 presents Walking with Dinosaurs
London's O2 Arena will again host an amazing event that involves life-size dinosaurs.
Opening on December 26th until January 6th, Walking with Dinosaurs returns to the central London venue following a successful world tour.
Families staying in central London hotels over the New Year will love to interact with the spectacular puppet dinosaurs. Each of the creatures has been made using high-tech puppetry skills and are capable of walking, roaring and fighting each other.
The event was created following the success of the BBC series of the same name in 1999 and has proved popular with youngsters and adults across the world.
In total, 20 creatures are used in the event, which has cost £10 million to create. Some of the dinosaurs on display include a brachiosaurus, measuring 36 feet tall and 56 feet long from nose to tail, an allosaurus and an utahraptor plus a 20 foot tyrannosaurus rex.
The Walking with Dinosaurs latest tour took place in Belfast in September and CultureNorthernIreland.org said: "It's a masterfully put-together production. The lighting, the sound effects, the John Williams-esque score and an involving stage set make for eye-candy on a grand scale.
"With their rippling skin, snorting nostrils and blinking eyes, the dinosaurs are extremely realistic."
Tickets are currently on sale for the event and start from £29 each and the O2 Arena is close to the North Greenwich Underground station and is easily accessible from central London via the Jubilee Line.
For those unable to see the Walking with Dinosaurs show at the start of 2013, it will be returning to London for another week from May 1st to May 6th at the Wembley Arena.
