Nancy Dell'Olio to play herself on the West End
Nancy Dell'Olio is set to add acting to her many roles in life as she prepares to star in her own autobiographical production - In The Powder Room - on the West End.
Dell-Olio is a famed property lawyer, celebrity dancer, newspaper columnist and now it would appear she will add theatrical actress to the list.
The 51-year-old initially came to the public's attention in the UK as the girlfriend of the former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and she has stayed in the limelight ever since.
She will now star in a self-penned and self-produced show in the heart of the London's West End.
Indeed, the work will be at the Arts Theatre for a short six-week run from June 1st and Dell'Olio will be playing herself in the title.
Directed by CJ Ranger, the play will provide audiences with a "fascinating look at the glamorous life" of Dell'Olio. Audiences will be provided with details of her private life and her near-fatal car crash.
While this will be Dell'Olio's debut on the West End, she took to the stage last month in a gala performance of the Vagina Monologues.
The star said she is "very excited" about the project. She added she was "proud to be taking to the West End stage in a show that I not only co-wrote but am co-producing as well."
This could be the perfect accompaniment to a weekend spent in one of the many luxury suites in London and those staying in the city will find travelling to the theatre is no trouble at all.
Indeed, the Arts Theatre is close to both the Leicester Square and Covent Garden Tube stops.
