Ron Burgundy set to crash land in London
The sequel to one of the biggest comedies in the past decade is about to hit UK cinemas, and London is set to don its best red, or should we say burgundy, carpet.
The Vue cinema in the West End will play host to the film premiere of 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' and a series of stars are expected to attend the event. It has already been confirmed that funnyman Will Ferrell himself will be there, alongside his co-stars Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Christina Applegate.
'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' tells the story of anchorman Ron Burgundy, who is struggling to adapt in the ever-changing broadcasting landscape of the 1980s. Ron and his colleagues are attracted to New York, where a new 24-hour news network is establishing, but with it comes a new nemesis Jack Lime, played by James Marsden. Nearly a decade ago, this film's predecessor grossed around £100 million worldwide, and this sequel is sure to to a be a highlight in the cinematic calendar.
If you are lucky enough to grab a great spot at the premiere, you may catch many a celebrity, as it is expected that not only will the film feature a tonne of celeb cameos, but some UK favourites are also set to grace the premiere carpet.
After the event, be sure to take advantage of the wide array of bars and restaurants that the West End in London has to offer. Extend your trip into the weekend and make sure you catch one of the amazing shows that this side of London is famous for, such as the spectacular 'The Lion King' or the toe-tapping 'Billy Elliot'.
The premiere for 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' will be on Wednesday December 10th.
