London's top football teams in search for glory
London is one of the world's sporting powerhouses, with a number of iconic stadiums to be found across the city.
For football fans, the capital is always worth a visit as it's home to so many top sides, including no less than six Premier League teams this season.
And the London-based outfits certainly aren't there just to make up the numbers, with three of the league's current top six being from the city.
So, if you'd like to see one of the country's best teams in action then a trip to London may well be the way to go, and you never know, you could end up watching the future champions of England.
Arsenal, for example, have surprised everyone this season by holding on to the league's top spot for several months, with summer signing Mesut Ozil having had a profound impact on the general sense of optimism around the club.
The Gunners were overtaken by both Chelsea and Manchester City this weekend (January 11th-12th), but travel to Aston Villa tonight knowing that a win will take them back to the summit of the league.
Tickets for matches at the Emirates Stadium in north London can be bought through the club's website, while the same goes for Chelsea's home games at Stamford Bridge.
With Jose Mourinho having returned to manage the side in the summer, the Blues are now on the charge as they go in search of their first league title since 2010, and are edging ever closer to the top of the league.
The other London-based team in the hunt for glory is Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal's near neighbour and biggest rival.
Despite a somewhat topsy-turvy season so far, Spurs are currently just seven points behind the leaders, and new manager Tim Sherwood seems to have instilled a new, highly attacking philosophy at the club, which should make the side much more entertaining to watch than previously.
The Lillywhites play their home matches at White Hart Lane, and tickets are available through the club's website.
