October is your last chance to visit some of the UK's top theme parks
With the summer now sadly over, many of the country's top seasonal attractions are preparing to close their doors until spring, which is why anyone who hasn't visited some of the south-east's best theme parks might want to think about taking advantage of their last opportunity to do so.
By staying in one of the many fantastic central London hotels, you could be just a short train, coach or car ride away from places like Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland Windsor, all of which are now entering their final few weeks of operation for 2013.
This is the perfect time to visit one of these great attractions, as they are all known to really go all out for Halloween, putting on special events and activities for visitors.
Thorpe Park, for example, will this year once again be hosting its ever popular series of Fright Nights, which have been scaring guests ever since the concept was first introduced.
As part of the creepy extravaganza, movie production company Lionsgate UK has teamed up with the park to create a horror movie maze, where visitors are confronted with scenes and characters from some of their favourite and most feared films.
These include the likes of The Blair Witch Project, SAW Alive, My Bloody Valentine 3D and Cabin in the Woods.
What's more, on certain nights this month, visitors to the park will be able to stay on after closing time to take on the horror movie maze alone, as part of the Face It Alone Experience.
These will be held from October 18th to 20th and from October 25th to November 3rd, so if you think you're brave enough then you might want to think about booking a ticket to what is sure to be a truly terrifying event.
