Once to premiere in London this month
Later this month the adaptation of the much-loved Oscar-winning film Once is set to hit London's West End for the first time.
Once is an extraordinary tale of joyous celebration, love, friendship and music.
It tells the tale of an Irish busker who meets a young Czech mother through their shared love of music and they immediately hit it off.
Their emotive songwriting sparks a deep connection and a tender, longing romance that neither of them expected in their wildest dreams is born.
It premiered on Broadway in the US last year and managed to pick up eight Tony Awards, including Best New Musical as the unique stage adaptation brings audiences right to the heart of this love story.
Catching a performance of this, running from March 16th to November 30th, could be the perfect accompaniment to a weekend spent in one of the many luxury suites in London.
Featuring all of the magical songs that helped light up the original screenplay, this is a show that is positively bursting with life. The original soundtrack was nominated for a Grammy and it was dominated by the hauntingly beautiful Falling Slowly, which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2007.
The Phoenix Theatre shouldn't provide too many problems in terms of travel to and from a hotel in the city as it has excellent transport links.
Indeed, it is within easy walking distance of the Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden and Leicester Square Tube stops, which run on the Northern, Piccadilly and Central lines.
Tickets for one of the performance are available from just £19.50, with the best seats in the house set to cost visitors to the city £85.
