The Saturdays set to play in London
Despite the fact that there is a seemingly never-ending amount of talent shows looking for the next musical stars to take the world by storm, the number of true success stories from them is quite small.
For every One Direction, there are countless other Steve Brooksteins who have gained marginal success before virtually falling off the radar.
However, one such group that auditioned for members, much in the same way as Spice Girls many years before, is The Saturdays and their success has been huge over the last few years.
The band took the pop world by storm in 2007/08 with their debut album Chasing Lights, which featured classic tunes such as Up, Issues, Just Can't Get Enough and Work.
They have since followed that up with two other extremely successful records - Wordshaker and On You Radar.
In total they have three top ten albums and eight top ten singles.
With Girls Aloud looking like they will be leaving the pop world forever after their reunion tour this year, The Saturdays could be about to take over as the undisputed queens of pop.
Fans of the group will be able to catch them in a special performance at the Heaven nightclub in London later this month.
Indeed, for one night only - March 23rd - they will be performing a special gig, so visitors will want to book stays in central London hotels sooner, rather than later.
Tickets are available from just £4, so they are sure to be selling like hot cakes.
Heaven is situated in the middle of the city, so getting to and from your accommodation shouldn't provide too many problems.
It is within easy walking distance of both the Embankment and Charing Cross Tube stations.
