All change in the West End as one chapter closes and another begins
If you're heading to London any time soon and are planning on catching a performance of one the many fantastic shows that play every night in the West End, then you may want to keep a close watch on the ever-changing schedule, as the Theatreland merry-go-round in currently in the midst of another spin.
Indeed, one of the most popular shows in town is about to end its run, after having been seen by around five million people and received plenty of critical acclaim.
We Will Rock You, which has been playing at the Dominion Theatre on Tottenham Court Road since 2002, is set to close on May 31st, so anyone who hasn't yet seen this fantastic musical is running out of time to do so.
Directed by Ben Elton, the show is based on the music of one of Britain's most iconic rock bands, Queen, and features several of the bands biggest hits - including the likes of Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, I Want To Break Free, Radio Ga Ga, and of course, the eponymous track We Will Rock You.
However, if you don't make it to the Dominion Theatre in time to see the show then fear not, because there are plenty of other great productions currently doing the rounds in the West End.
For example, a brand new stage show of the classic Michael Caine film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has just opened at the Savoy Theatre on the Strand - just a short walk away from the Montcalm Hotel.
Set in the glamorous surroundings of the South of France, the story focuses on two audacious conmen as they try to swindle a millionaire heiress, and stars the likes of Tony, BAFTA and triple Olivier Award winner Robert Lindsay.
Also starring in the show is Rufus Hound, who previously received excellent reviews for his performances in the popular play One Man, Two Guvnors.
