Discover Latin American culture in London
One of the most endearing qualities that London offers is its incredible multiculturalism, with the British capital being one of the most diverse and cosmopolitan cities on the planet.
Because of this, it's possible to find just about every type of cuisine in the world in London, as well as hear a range of languages and musical genres, not to mention all the fantastic foreign art that's waiting to be discovered in the city.
One region that is well represented in London is Latin America, with a sizeable population of Latinos calling the city home and helping to add their own flair to the capital's cultural melting pot.
For example, there's no shortage of lively salsa bars where visitors and locals alike can dance the night away to some Latin beats while sipping on drinks like Cuba Libres or Caipirinhas.
Among the most popular of these is the Cuban, which can be found in the famous Stables Market in Camden Town. One way to tell if any salsa club is any good is to have a look around and see how many of the customers are actually from Latin America, and as soon as you walk in the door of this particular joint you'll realise that you're surrounded by a Spanish-speaking crowd, so you'll know you've come to the right place.
If it's Latin food you're after, then you're in luck, because London is home to some top quality restaurants serving dishes from countries all over the Americas.
Mexican chains like Wahaca, for example, are always great for burritos and tacos, although you may also want to check out some independent restaurants such as Mezcal in Dalston, where you'll be able to sample some authentic dishes and drinks.
Argentina, meanwhile, is famous for producing the best steak on the planet, and you'll be able to get a taste of this at restaurants like Buen Ayre on Broadway Market, which sits just next to the picturesque Regents Canal and is close to some of London's top luxury hotels and restaurants.
