London becomes home to world's first alcoholic burger
The culinary scene in London has always been ahead of the game, although the latest development to occur in the capital is something that few saw coming, and combines two of the hottest trends to sweep the city in recent years.
Anyone who has visited London over the past 24 to 36 months will be aware that the capital has developed a taste for high-quality gourmet burgers, with restaurants like Patty and Bun, Meat Mission, Meat Liquor, Dirty Burger and many others having sprung up to satisfy this craving for high-class beef in a relaxed environment.
At the same time, craft beer has gone through a major resurgence across London, with several breweries having made a name for themselves over the past few years.
For the first time, these two trends have been brought together in spectacular fashion, now that one of London's top burger joints, Honest Burgers, has teamed up with BrewDog - which is among the most popular craft beer companies in the UK - to create the spectacular BrewBurger.
Featuring a patty soaked in BrewDog's 5AM Saint Ale, as well as beef drippings and onions that have been fried in Punk IPA, the BrewBurger will be available at Honest Burgers restaurants from March 3rd, although it's so strongly alcoholic that diners will need to be over the age of 18 to try it.
The chain currently has branches in Brixton, Soho, Camden, King's Cross and Portobello, which means you're never too far away from what is sure to be one of the most popular culinary creations ever to hit London.
BrewDog will also be serving the burger at some of its bars, which can be found in Camden, Shoreditch and Bethnal Green.
To help diners wash down this tantalising boozey burger, the two companies have also been working hard to create a brand new beer called Bourbon Baby - a barrel-aged baby Scotch ale that has been designed to perfectly complement the flavours in the BrewBurger.
