Shoreditch hosts Vintage Tea Party event
Visitors to luxury London hotels looking to socialise with locals may want to consider attending the Vintage Tea Party taking place in Shoreditch Town Hall.
The glamourous afternoon will raise money for breast cancer research and boasts a line-up of food, drink, raffles, live music, makeovers and more.
Highlights include sweets and savouries provided by Euphorium Bakery, Lily Vanilli and Bea's of Bloomsbury.
The Euphorium Bakery opened in Islington in 1999 and quickly become famous for making as much as possible from scratch every day.
"Our lovely customers raved about outstanding cakes and pastries, the inspired choice of baked savouries and artisan hand-made breads," explained the bakery. "One food critic said our croissants were 'iconic', whatever that means."
Many of the group's original team are still on board and in the kitchen, meaning that guests at the tea party will get a true taste of the bakery's goods.
"Our guests will descend on Shoreditch Town Hall, London wearing their finest vintage tea dresses and spend the English afternoon acting as proper ladies," commented the group.
"Sipping flavoured teas, devouring dainty sandwiches and pretty cakes while raising a glass of bubbly; our ladies will also have the opportunity to partake in a charity auction for lots of lovely goodies, have a vintage hair and makeup session plus many more to come."
Tea will also be provided by luxury experts Teapigs, which is known for its bizarre flavours including Chilli Chai Tea, Chocolate Flake Tea, Rooibos Crème Caramel and more.
