Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the SEA LIFE London Aquarium this summer
With the summer holidays now in full swing, there really has never been a better time to book a stay in a London hotel with the kids, as there's always so much to do in the capital over the warmer months of the year.
For example, if you're looking for a way to keep the little ones entertained while also ensuring that they don't stop learning just because they aren't at school, then a trip to the SEA LIFE London Aquarium could be just what you're after.
Home to one of Europe's largest and most impressive collections of marine wildlife from around the world, it is sure to excite and fascinate visitors of all ages, and those who head to the popular attraction this summer will even have the chance to take a behind-the-scenes tour.
These tours last around 40 minutes, and allow guests to get a closer look at the inner workings of the aquarium, meeting a number of marine biologists and other interesting people along the way.
Visitors are given a step-by-step explanation of the way that SEA LIFE's three main operation departments - Care and Research, Food Preparation and Water Management - function, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions of tour guides and other aquarium workers as you make your way round.
Of course, if you'd rather just explore the venue at your own leisure then you'll still find loads to keep you entertained, with stingrays, sea turtles, clown fish, octopuses and ten species of shark among the creatures that can be seen here.
There's even a colony of gentoo penguins in the aquarium's Antarctic zone, while the Rainforests of the World area is home to the likes of piranhas, crocodiles and poison arrow frogs.
SEA LIFE London is located on the South Bank, just next the London Eye and Westminster Bridge.
