Top 5 London spots named
Tourists staying at luxury London hotels looking to experience a unique side to the city have been offered up the top five secret spots by Jane's London blog.
Jane Parker, a well-known London blogger, listed her favourite locations in the capital, revealing the best places to get some fresh air and relax.
Her first suggested port of call is to watch the sun set from the Angel Pub on Bermondsey Wall, writes The Time Out blog.
Describing it as one of the most idyllic ways to enjoy dining in central London, the pub also offers Sam Smith's drinks which won't break the bank while offering picturesque views.
"Low tide anywhere along the Thames," she further suggested.
"Beaches or foreshore can reveal all sorts of sunken treasures (as well as few things you may not have wanted to stumble across). Check the tide tables and go mudlarking."
Additionally, it was advised that visitors go walking along the London Zoo section of Regents Canal.
"Any stretch of the canal is great as it's like another world all quiet beneath the busy streets above, but the part that overlaps London Zoo is great for getting a free peek at a few of the animals and birds," she enthused.
While north London's Archway offers the best view over the city, the blogger suggested that tourists head south to Gaby's Deli just off Charing Cross Road for a bite to eat.
Those looking to enjoy a meal at the famous deli have limited amount of time as the venue is set to close soon after 46 years of service.
