Two popular London shows extend booking period
Along with Broadway in New York, London's West End is the number one area on the planet for watching live musical theatre, with many of the most iconic shows in the world currently playing at theatres across this glamorous part of town.
Finding time to see them all can be a bit tricky, which is why fans of this form of entertainment will be thrilled to hear that two of the most popular shows in London have just announced that they are to extend their booking period for a further 12 months.
Among these is the smash hit production Les Miserables, which can be seen at the Queen's Theatre and will now be selling tickets for shows up to April 25th 2015.
Based on the novel by legendary French author Victor Hugo, the show is one of the most iconic musicals in the world and was recently adapted for the screen, with the likes of Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway appearing in the blockbuster production.
However, it is as a stage production that the story is best known, and with the Queen's Theatre being located just a short walk from the Montcalm Hotel, it's easy to add an extra touch of luxury to your night at the theatre.
In addition, the hugely popular musical Mamma Mia! has also extended its booking period to April 25th next year, which is great news for fans who haven't yet had a chance to see this enormously successful show.
Playing at the Novello Theatre in Aldwych, the production is based on the songs of Swedish pop group ABBA, and became the highest-grossing film in British box office history when it too was adapted from the screen.
Of course, if neither of these shows tickle your fancy then you needn't worry, as there are loads of other fantastic musicals - such as the Lion King, We Will Rock You and Billy Elliot, to name but a few - currently playing in the West End.
