Visit Chanel Pop-Up at Harrods
One of London's most exclusive department stores Harrods is hosting a celebration of Coco Chanel - one of the world's most celebrated designers of the 20th century - this month.
Throughout September, the Chanel Pop-Up will showcase the decadent and innovative style of the Parisian designer, who created the Coco Chanel label in the 1920s.
Intended for those with an appreciation of style and glamour, the event could be particularly appealing to guests staying in luxury suites in London.
As part of the celebration, the whole of Harrods has been transformed to pay homage to the legendary designer, with Chanel-themed windows, art installations and pop up designer boutiques scattered around the store.
Until Wednesday September 28th, design lovers will have the chance to explore eight different rooms dedicated to the glamorous world of Chanel.
The Camelia Room, for instance, is dedicated to Chanel's favourite flower and showcases a selection of floral items such as a white gold camellia tree and a quilt watering can.
Meanwhile, the Tweed Room honours the year Chanel created her very own tweed and the 2.55 Room re-envisions the interior of Chanel's iconic 2.55 bag, featuring videos of the bags during production.
Fans and admirers of Coco Chanel are likely to be keen to visit the Chanel No. 5 Room most of all. This room features posters designed by Andy Warhol and a litre-sized bottle of Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe's favourite fragrance.
Those who want to purchase Chanel goods will be able to do so at the Chanel designer pop up boutiques, which stock a range of luxury and stylish goods including fine accessories, shows and beautiful jewellery.
Handbag lovers will also be able to purchase a limited edition 2.55 bag in Harrods green.
The store is open from 10:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Saturday and between 11:30 to 18:00 on Sundays. Entry is free.
