Rated by TripAdvisor as the highest user-rated attraction worldwide, it’s unsurprising that since it opened in 2012, the Harry Potter Tour has been flying high and developing its attractions. Essentially a walk-through tour and exhibition, the Harry Potter Tour explores the making of the film series and includes authentic costumes, props, and sets as well as visual and technical tricks that were used during the eight movies development. During peak times, the Harry Potter Tour can see up to 6000 visitors a day so if you’re on a getaway in London and want to visit the set, then you’d best book well in advance!
Hogwarts In The Snow runs until the 16th of January 2022 and sees a festive makeover of the tour’s Great Hall, just in time for the Hogwarts Yule Ball! The set of the Forbidden Forest has also been caked in snow, as has the set of Diagon Alley and the model of Hogwarts Castle. All of this amalgamates in an especially festive feast for the eyes this Christmas break.
Running from the beginning of January to the end of May, the Magical Mischief exhibition provides visitors with an insight into the practical jokes and magical trickery that the students of Hogwarts get up to. Running through and beyond April Fool’s Day, visitors will be able to see some of the most famous Fred and George Weasley set pieces. By the end of the tour, Magical Mischief visitors will no doubt feel like their “mischief’s managed”.
Next year will once again see the Dark Arts feature of the tour return just in time for Halloween. Running from September through November, this seasonal exhibit features 100s of floating pumpkins, a dark mark trail and even a live duel with Death Eaters!
In 2022, the ticket prices for the Harry Potter Tour will be from £49.95 for adults over 16, £39.95 for children over 5. Those who are younger than 4 years old will go for free. You can reach the Warner Brothers Studio via a train from Euston to Watford Junction and a 15-minute shuttle bus, or instead, use the onsite parking at the Leavesden studio.
