Marble Arch

Just a four-minute walk from the Montcalm London Marble Arch hotel, you can visit the grand arch that marks the entrance to Buckingham Palace and marvel at the ornate friezes and sculptures that adorn this impressive landmark.

Commissioned in 1830 by the Prince Regent (who later become King George IV), the Marble Arch we know today was significantly scaled down and the original architect sacked as when the Prime Minister, the Duke of Wellington became concerned about the amount of money being spent on the construction and materials used.

Some of the original sculptures that were created for Marble Arch now stand in different locations such as the main courtyard at Buckingham Palace which is just over a mile away.

Hyde Park

Hyde Park

Literally on the doorstep of our Marble Arch hotel you’ll find 350 acres of beautifully maintained parkland, lakes and monuments in London’s Hyde Park.

Packed full of activities such as boating, horse riding or simply just walking amongst the beautiful flower beds and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this picturesque park, Hyde Park is a firm favourite for locals and visitors alike.

Cycling is one of the best ways of travelling around the park, so hire a bike and head over to Speaker’s Corner or the Diana Memorial.

During the summer months, Hyde Park also plays host to a wide range of art exhibitions, music concerts and evening nature walks so it’s the perfect place to avoid the crowds and try something a little different during your next visit to London.

Bond Street

Although not your typical London landmark, Bond Street is the perfect place to spend a few hours admiring the elegant architecture and peeking into shop windows.

Bond Street is a Mecca for fashion lovers, so if you feel like a little retail therapy but don’t want to stray too far from our Montcalm London Marble Arch hotel, then Bond Street is the perfect place to browse the luxury shops and take in the lavish storefronts.
