You can show off your skating skills at the largest open ice rink in the UK, which is open from 10am to 10pm. There’s also some fantastic new additions to the Winter Wonderland; the Magical Ice Kingdom is an immersive walk filled with ice statues of creatures, monsters and mythical beasts that children will love. You can round off your trip with a drink and a bite to eat in your own cosy wooden hut at Bar Hutte.

Hogwarts in the Snow

Studio Tour Drive, Leavesden WD25 7LR

If you were enchanted by J.K Rowling’s magical Harry Potter stories, then you’re going to love Hogwarts in the Snow. The Harry Potter studio tours have been given a Christmas makeover with snow drifts in Diagon Alley, a festive feast in the Great Hall, decorations in the Gryffindor common room and Christmas trees aplenty dotted around the studio.

Hand-made snow and ice effects line the entire venue for added wintry charm, and you’ll also get to witness the magic of the wizarding world first-hand by learning how the different types of snow were used in the production of the films. Remember to wrap up warm; Hogwarts in the Snow has multiple outdoor exhibits so it’s essential that you dress for the chillier weather.
