Where to experience Italian culture in London

When we imagine diversity and harmonious cohabitation, one of the first places that come to mind is London. The vibrant and bustling city attracts a global community that sets up a base for cultural integration in the heart of the British capital.

As you make your way through East London, you will experience a young and hip artsy vibe, while to the West is a more sophisticated appeal with Victorian architecture and influences. One notable thing on both sides is the rich European flair spanning from high-end Parisian restaurants to Italian pizzerias and art galleries. For more on this, here is where to experience Italian culture in London.

Experience Italian Art

London is renowned for its artistic flair and appreciation for history. Visitors planning to explore London can check out the many galleries and museums that the city offers. The National Gallery in Trafalgar Square houses a collection by some of the most celebrated artists to ever live. This includes the work of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. The gallery is open daily from 10 am and is free of charge. Other art galleries to check out include the Esoterick Collection of Modern Art and Courtauld Gallery at Somerset House. The London Underground is your best bet to access these places and other attractions, particularly when staying at any of the Hotels Near Cumberland Road.

Sample Italian Cuisine

The Italians pride themselves on their culinary skills, and London eateries know a thing a two about capturing diners in this cutthroat industry. Most Italian restaurants in the city serve authentic and traditional dishes with generational family recipes inherited by the current chefs and cooks. Restaurants with fantastic pasta and pizza in London include Pizzeria Mozza, Marylebone, Fiume, Battersea Power Station, Ida, Queen’s Park and Canto Corvino for small plates. Also, it would be worthwhile to checkout 5 Star Hotels Near Cumberland Road as these house some of the top restaurants in the country.

Get a Glimpse of Venice

Little Venice near Montcalm Hotel Marble Arch is a must-see when in London. The charming, quaint town sits towards Regents Park and is notable by the canal ways separating Italian-inspired architectures and streetside cafes. The hidden gem is tucked away from the busy touristy crowds in the borough of Westminster and is perfect for spending weekend afternoons.

Enjoy Italian Landscape and Architecture

With over 6000 parks in the city, it is no wonder that London is considered one of the greenest cities in the world. However, the Italian Gardens at Kensington Palace exude a character with a romantic background. It is believed that this garden was a romantic gesture by Queen Victoria to her beloved husband – Prince Albert. Stories like this are prominent with the most popular sites in this historic city. Created in the 1860s by designer James Pennethorne, the garden sits near Lancaster Gate. The park features rosettes carved in Carrara marble, white marble Tazza Fountain and stone statues throughout the garden.
